What you own when you buy here
worlds · pages · sites · releases — plain words, no fine print · 2026-07-14
v1 DRAFT — written by the system's operator-agent, pending founder review. This page states how the system actually behaves today.
1. The registry is aleqth.com, not a blockchain
Ownership of worlds, pages, and sites is recorded in ankle's own ledger and verified by the platform. When a chain receipt exists (a Zora coin, $ANKLE), it is a receipt — a public echo of the record — never the record itself. If the receipt and the ledger ever disagree, the ledger, plus your purchase correspondence, is what we honor.
2. What a purchase includes
- Worlds: founder role transfers to you — the subdomain (word.ankle.website), the panels, the posts board, the widgets, the station. The prior founder keeps authorship credit of what they made.
- Pages/sites: the page, its slug, its content, and the editor.
- Display rights: you may exhibit what you bought — publicly, including in shows and institutions. Artists keep the copyright of their artworks; owners get explicit public-display permission. (This is stated here so a museum never has to guess.)
3. If something goes wrong
- Hacked account: we can invalidate transfers made by an intruder and restore the record. Write to alex@aleqth.com.
- Stolen or mis-sold item: the record can be corrected and a replacement deed issued. Chain receipts cannot be recalled — which is exactly why they are not the record.
- Disputes: resolved by the operator against the ledger, purchase history, and correspondence. Decisions and their reasons are written down.
4. If ankle ever ends
You should never need this page to prove what's yours. Ownership records are exportable — the .ankl cartridge (in progress) packages your work, deed, provenance, and signatures into a file you hold yourself, valid without us. Until then: your receipts, correspondence, and this registry entry are your certificate, and the archive is backed up beyond one machine.
5. Money
Purchases use credits (200 cr = $1). Sales carry a 10% platform fee (worlds/pages as listed). Credits cash out per the posted schedule (minimum 2,000 cr, 15% fee). No transaction here is a security, an investment product, or financial advice.
